Stefanie continues her research ... at UT-Austin ... and look for a new job next year.

Many questions loom over them.
How will Rob like school chaplaincy? How will Stefanie balance her research and trips to her lab in Dallas? When will Rob get a haircut? How will Weston like his new school? Will they make new friends? Will they find a church that they like? Will they enjoy being homeowners? Is Austin really that weird?

We wasted no time in celebrating our 1st holiday in Austin. We are delighted with the neighborhood. In less than a week's time, many of our neighbors have warmly welcomed us. We hardly had half of our stuff moved in before one of our neighbors invited us to the neighborhood 4th of July parade. It Seattle-style rained in Austin since about 30 minutes after our moving trip pulled away on Wednesday afternoon, but it stopped today and allowed the neighborhood parade to proceed - right down our street! Then we went down to the end of the street for watermelon and to see the fire truck up close!

Special thanks to the firefighters who keep us safe, but also do events like this for neighbors and families to celebrate together.
